Track Powered Trains

The original sets produced by Playmobil were supplied with track manufactured by LGB
The sets that had a controller in the box would have a different number depending on which area they were supplied too. The areas were covered by the supply voltage and the type of plug required on the controller. There were three areas Germany and Europe 2 pin 230V (GR), U.K. and countries using the 13A plugs 230V (UK), and the U.S.A. and Canada 2 pin 110V (US).
The sets that were intended to be supplied to only one area had one number as did the sets with no controller in them. The controller output was 0-16 volt D.C.
The motor block chassis was the same for all the locomotives 7550.

The stock below is from my collection of Playmobil. Some of the stock items were only available in sets, others were sold on there own. In some cases stock items from the sets were sold by direct services. The numbers of the items sold separately in the catalogue and later sold by direct services in some cases were the same in others they were renumbered. In some cases they were sold by direct services without and sticker so that you could have unmarked stock

Most of the photographs were taken at the Kirkbean Playmobil Festival in 2017. The stock was in use on my display, therefore some of the loads and figures in them would have not been supplied with them,
